Variants provide alternative purchase options for a product.
Variants represent different categories within the product that tickets can be purchased for. Many products will not have any variants at all. If a product has got variants then you must require the customer to select which variant they wish to purchase tickets for.
Variants can affect the price of the ticket as well as what options it is available for.
